12x / x²-36 minus x / x-6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

does anyone know how to solve?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

[12 -x(x+6)]/[(x-6)(x+6)]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I mean 12x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i got 12x / (x+6)(x-6) - x²+6x / (x+6)(x-6)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then simplified and got

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-x² +18x / (x-6)(x+6)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is that wrong

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yea.. it should be -x(x-6) over (x-6)(x+6)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

For [12 -x(x+6)] /[(x-6)(x+6)] = (12-x^2-6x) /[(x-6)(x+6)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So solution is (-x)/(x+6)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay so you cant simplify the top any further? i thought u could add the 12x with the 6x to make it 18x-x² for the numerator

OpenStudy (anonymous):

interestingggg

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Please re-read my comments....... The solution is (-x)/(x+6)
