The tables below show the values of f(x) and g(x) for different values of x. f(x) = 2(3)x x f(x) -2 0.22 -1 0.67 0 2 1 6 2 18 g(x) = 3x + 3 x g(x) -2 3.11 -1 3.33 0 4 1 6 2 12 Based on the tables, what is the solution to the equation 2(3)x = 3x + 3? x = -1 x = 0 x = 1 x = 6

@SolomonZelman @phi im confused i tried this already...but didn't get anything...

OpenStudy (phi):

It would be easier to decipher if you used an ^ to show x is an exponent. Better, use the equation editor \[ f(x) = 2\cdot 3^x \]

OpenStudy (phi):

they are asking for the solution to \[ 2(3^x)= 3x + 3 \]

OpenStudy (phi):

the "solution" would be the same (x, y) pair for both functions. in other words, find the (x, f(x)) pair that matches (x, g(x))

undeadknight26 (undeadknight26):

i got 6...is that right?

OpenStudy (phi):

6 is the y value, they want the x value
