I was just thinking if we can have a contest with yahoo answers. OPENSTUDY VS YAHOO ANSWERS
@AravindG @ash2326 @amistre64 @Preetha
The major difference between Open Study and Yahoo Answers is right in the name. Yahoo ANSWERS Open STUDY Answers are given in Yahoo Answers Open Study strives to tutor and help people, rather than just give answers. Great idea though!
What kind of contest?
like who is the best @ giving the best answers?
lol Why do we need to compete?
it would be fun 4 every 1.
do u agree @AravindG
Please every 1 would be happy and try there best
@Gatorgirl
Yeah plz
please put ur opinions please
I don't know if OpenStudy would want to partner in that kind of way with with a "competing" website like that.
I think that it is a pointless idea
who cares who gives the best answers?
But I do like your idea of a contest on Open Study. What if we had a trivia contest among OpenStudy users. We could divide into teams, and face off. Yes, it could distract from answering REAL questions. But what if we did it at a time like Christmas break. That way, it would increase website traffic in a time when EVERYONE has off and NOBODY has homework questions.
u just want sum 1 2 answer ur question @Xmoses1
It would be fun, but you have no reason as to why this would be a good idea for an educational site. We are to learn, and that is all. Not waste our time with stuff like that. Besides, that is just going to distract someone who really needs to be doing there work instead of that.
yeah...
your point?
Every team could have an equal amount of people from every SmartScore, and the mods could judge, and it could be a way to not just have fun, but to continue learning. We could ask a question, and then let everyone try solving it. Then, we could reveal the answer and the explanation. We could encourage reading, and advance math skills. We could help expand the vocabularies of Openstudy users. We could teach them more about History, and teach them life-lessons on cooperation and teamwork. Plus, we could get some team-spirit going, along with more website traffic, and it would draw more users to Open Study!
ok so no contest.
listen, its just an idea. What about like a daily poll, with a question. We can see how many open study users know the answer. Guys, this is just an idea. Something to spark interest in Open Study and in learning new topics. Okay?
Jenna! Don't give up on an idea just because one person doesn't like it!! :0
Now the question is closed! It's not likely to get any more people to read it :(
I'm gonna start my own thread on this topic.
