If two lines have different slopes, they will eventually intersect.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so i got number 2 right?

OpenStudy (snowfire):

For a system to have no solutions, that would mean the lines never intersect (which is what you chose). But that's only if they are parallel, and this example says they have different slopes so that can't be true.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay so what about number 1?

OpenStudy (snowfire):

Number 1 is fine, just number 2 that is incorrect.

Thank you!

No problem, glad I could help
