Need help with Solving Trigonometric Equation solve for x Cos(2x)= (Cosx)^2 Domain: X is greater than or equal to -360 and less than or equal to 360

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh btw we can use trig identities

OpenStudy (loser66):

cos (2x) = 2cos^2 x -1 so, you have 2cos^2x -1 = cos^2x therefore cos^2x =1 cos x = \(\pm\) 1 for cosx =1 ; x = 0 for cos x = -1 ; x = pi

ooh ok
