Verification is important with problems like these expressed only in words. Did you mean: Find the value of the quotient (8 7/8) / (1 1/9)? If so, consider the numerator. What's the LCD (least common denominator)? Convert that 8 to a fraction with that same denominator (8). Then add together the 2 fractions with the same denominator. Do the same for 1 1/9. LCD = ? Convert that 1 to a fraction with denominator LCD. Then you'll be dividing one rational fraction by another rational fraction. Try it. NOTE: I tried doing the problem myself and ended up with 639/80. Round that off to the nearest integer. We're asked only to ESTIMATE the answer, not to provide an EXACT answer. Good luck!
