What forms did American propaganda take during WWII? What was its purpose? What were some of the common messages and themes seen in American propaganda?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

They were mostly propaganda to help the cause of the war, like war bonds, and giving scrap metal up for spare change. There is also the 'calling the opposing side barbarians', and ponting out why they were wrong in exaggerated politcal cartoons. There was also the pointing out of Japanese "spies". FYI there were no Japanese spies convicted of siding with the axis powers. Only 10 people in the US were, and none of them were Japanese.

Sorry if that wasn't what you were looking for.
