Pleeeeeeease help. Find the percent of decrease from 340 to 150. Round to the nearest tenth of a percent if necessary.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

% decrease = (decrease / original) x 100 Do you know what the decrease is? And the original?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The decrease is just how much your number goes down. Your number goes from 340 to 150. So it decreases by .... 340 - 150 = 190...it decreases by 190. The original amount is where we started. Originally, before the decrease the number was 340. So original is 340.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So. It will be the Decrease/Original.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes...and times that by 100 to get the %

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok. I would so hug you. Thank you Soo much.
