do u no the difference between a sex cell and a normal cell

OpenStudy (rina.r):

The difference is that a gamete is a sex cell, while a "normal" cell is an autosomnal, or other non-sex bodily cell.

OpenStudy (rina.r):

Gametes, like the sperm and egg, are haploid, meaning that they only have half the number of chromosomes as a typical body cell. A typical cell is diploid, having the full number of chromosomes for their species. For humans, this means that a man's sperm or a woman's eggs each only have 23 chromosomes. Our body cells contain 46 chromosomes. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20080126170835AATyRyN
