9 + 6sqrt(2) + 2 - 18 + 3sqrt(8) 9 + 6sqrt(2) + 2 - 18 + 3sqrt(4)sqrt(2) 9 + 2 - 18 + 6sqrt(2) + 3(2)sqrt(2) 11 - 18 + 6sqrt(2) + 6sqrt(2) -7 + 12sqrt(2) 12sqrt(2) - 7 That's about the best I can do for you. Whenever you're given a square root, take that number and see if you can split it up into numbers that can be rooted. sqrt(8) is either 1*8 or 2*4... 4 is a perfect square. We can factor that out.
