For what value of w does this system have no solution?
I wonder why new users always use such degrading usernames... :>
Okay... that was a bit of a stretch... were you taught how to do this stuff at all? (Because I certainly wasn't ^_^)
Haha, I've used this for every account I've ever made since like the 7th grade.
Nope, I really have no idea.
I actually already know the answer, but since I wasn't taught how to do it... I'm still thinking about how to make it make sense to you... hmmn...
Can you just solve the system?
How would I do that with the extra w value in there?
Treat it like a constant first...
I mean, I could multiply the top by 3 and eliminate
That's true, could you do that? (pretty please :>)
9A + wA = 5
Now, solve for A.
Hint: Factor out the A.
(9 + w)A = 5?
Yup ^_^ And then divide both sides by 9+w... you get A = ?
A = 5/(9 + w)
\[\Large A=\frac5{9+w}\] Which means there IS a solution for any value of w...except...? What? HINT: What value for w would make the fraction 5/(9+w) undefined?
-9?
THAT'S CORRECT! LOL I'm so happy :') I managed to make that make sense :D How old are you anyway? You're definitely not stupid ^_^
Woo! & I am 17 c:
I don't consider myself stupid, haha, like I said, that's just been my username on nearly everything for a long time
Well I'm 17 too :D I'll be signing off for now, great job here :) --------------------------- Terence out
