How many solutions do intersecting lines have?

OpenStudy (jlg030597):

one

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Wrong,its Unity.

OpenStudy (ttp):

Do they have the same slopeor a different slope?

OpenStudy (ttp):

*slope

OpenStudy (jlg030597):

sorry many

OpenStudy (anonymous):

One. The most common way for lines to intercept is once (think of a plus sign (+) with the lines extending off into infinity, the middle of the point is where they touch, but it only happens once.) It cannot be no solutions because in order for that to happen the line would have to be parallel, and if the lines intersect that means they cannot be parallel (the very definition of a parallel line being that they do not touch.) It could theoretically be infinite, but in order for that to happen they would have to be the same line. Since they say the lines intersect, they most likely mean they intersect only at one point, and not all points

OpenStudy (anonymous):

different obviously

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it sometimes can have a lot

OpenStudy (ttp):

are there y and x intercept the same?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hope that helped(:
