Simplify: 3x^2 + 24x + 45 ___________________ 3x + 15 a. 3(x+5) b. x + 5 c. x + 3 d. (x+3)(x+5)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thats a fraction thing BTW

OpenStudy (praxer):

take 3 common in both the numerator and denominator and then proceed.

OpenStudy (praxer):

@Yolo4mecuite will u be able to proceed after this ???????

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sorry I was away for a moment @praxer Idk I tried it out but no

OpenStudy (anonymous):

3x^2 + 24x + 45/ 3x + 15 Factor 3 from the numerator and denominator. \[3(x^{2}+8x+15)/3(x+5)\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The 3's cancel from the num and denom. leaving: (x^2+8x+15)/(x+5) Now factor the numerator and simplif...hint...it probably has an x+5 in it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Did u get (x+3)(x+5)/(x+5)? The (x+5)'s cancel out leaving...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah
