Another mutation that is known to cause AKU changes the A/T base pair at location 49348 to a G/C base pair. The restriction enzyme NcoI recognizes the sequence 5’-CCATGG-‘3 and cuts between the A and the T. Suppose that you wanted to use a combination of PCR and digestion with NcoI to develop a test to determine if a person is a carrier for this AKU allele. First, you would design PCR primers to amplify the region of DNA that includes this mutation. -To do this you design a 10 base DNA primer that is complementary to the DNA sequence at 49193 – 49202.What is the sequence of this DNA primer?

An answer was: "G pairs with C, A pairs with T". What does this mean?? "G pairs with C, A pairs with T"??? Where there is a G in the sequence 49193-49202 we should replace it with C????
