What's the question?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Given two points on the line, input the equation of the line in standard form Ax + By = C. Reduce all fractional answers to lowest terms. (7, -3), (4, -8) @zeinas.

So first you need to find the slope. You can do that by -3+8/7-4. When simplified, you get 5/3. Before I go on, did you understand that part?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes @zeinas.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok. Next, we need to get it in point slope form, so we can change it to standard form. Now we have, using the first point: y+3=5/3(x-7) Distribute the5/3 y+3=5/3x-35/3 Subtract 3 from both sides. y=5/3x-44/3 In standard from, x needs to be on the other side, so the answer is: -5/3x+y=-44/3

thank you @zeinas.

you're welcome
