1. We should have some more Moderators { I am not going to say that choose me }
As u can see there are only 3 mods online now. they can't pay attention to every subject group or question.

A few days ago I saw a question having very bad link .{don't wanna give u soorry}

& i also asked some mods to close that ques but noone was replying & finally @thomaster gave their attention but i don't know what did he do to that ques becoz that question was really so bad that i don't want to come in that question

SmartScore should be more than 100 becoz some users got bored that their score is increasing slowly like my small brother lol :D

& some good problem solvers come very rarely {I m not going to write their names}

There should be "Virus Protection" {If its possible} so that nobody can attach harmful files & our OS remains beautiful & the fastest. ;)

There should be an Computer group in which we can ask some questions like


1. How to clean RAM {Random Access Memory} ?
2. How can I make my processor run at its last limit means how can i make my processor run fastest?
3. How to convert JPEG image to PNG image ?

Hi,

I agree we should have more staff. OpenStudy picks their staff carefully, so be patient.

Ambassadors are a must - we welcome users, show user show to use the site, and act as the embodiment for OS principles.

SmartScore is relative. You have to surpass those above you, and if you're offline, those below you can take your position. For example, you may be a 99, and go down to a 98 because someone took your 99 spot. Just stay active, and you'll rank up to 100.

However, I do feel that custom titles are a good idea. (which you can by subscribing)

The site has gone slow for awhile. That's because of all the live feature options. If OS got more space (i.g., servers), then it will help with the speed. However, OS runs off of donations - they're completely FREE~! If you want to help make improvements, the best thing you can do is click ads and donate! (Remove an ad block if you have one)

Sorry Viper. I am having problems with Feedback. C0decracker will be taking a look - but he is traveling now.
I like all your suggestions. I am going to save them somewhere. Let me address a few:
Mods: We need more mods. Always looking out for them. So always glad to get suggestions.
Ambassador program: @compassionate was also asking me. We are redoing it. @caligirl and @kayne will be working along with @e.mccormick and maybe a couple others. We are going to be sending out some emails and will post a blog soon.
Slow: Yes, we are working on that. We just expanded our database last month and this month are going to work on a few other things. The App is taking dev time. So when we are closer to being done with the app, we will circle back to the slowness problem.
Computer group: Hmmm. Give me a good name for that. I can add that to Computer Science as a subgroup. What do you think of that?
Subscriptions: Compassionate is right on. But hold on to your Christmas dollars. We are going to create a way that you can subscribe without a credit card. One suggestion came from Compassionate actually of using UGC. So we love these creative ideas. We are going to work that in as we fix the subscription.
Also many of you suggested for-payfeatures. We are working on some of those. I am going to post all this in a blog I think. Great question. Thanks all for contributing. @charlotte123, @rane @chmvijay - as always thanks for support and suggestions.

As Preetha stated, the Ambassador program is going through some changes. She hinted at the team, but I wanted to add one specific thing we are developing. We will be doing some training.

To make the training valuable for the ambies to go through, the materials are being selected from college level business and communications classes. We want to get some communications and problem solving skills as a baseline for the ambies, and it turns out that these are also some of the key skills that businesses are looking for in employees. This means that training these things will help them do things here, but also be preparation for elsewhere. Therefore the benefits are both for the ambassadors as individuals and OS as a whole.

I agree with all your ideas!

I always thought about the number of moderators. I used to think that moderators were people who helped create this wonderful website, or people who went through applications and tests and strict programs to become one. I only had a problem with inappropriate behavior twice. The first time, someone was not helping a user...rather, they were saying and drawing inappropriate things. I freaked out and I went to the OpenStudy Ambassador Section and I posted a question there that I needed help and all that and an ambassador told me "This is the Ambassador section" and didn't come to help. Only Luigi did. Then, finally, a moderator came and deleted all the replies. The second time was not such a big deal. So, even though I haven't experienced that much inappropriateness, I do believe that there should be more moderators.

I think the number of ambassadors is okay to me. I think there is enough, but I also think there should be some kind of encouragement to be an ambassador. A lot of users think that they can't be an ambassador because they don't have a lot of fans, or a lot of testimonials, or because they aren't level 99. I would like something in the ambassador section that has something like "You can be an ambassador, too!" I also think that there should be levels over 100, but not now. When people least expect it. Obviously, it will be challenging to be over 100, as @Compassionate said, we have to dedicate a lot of time to OpenStudy to keep being a high level. But what I mean by least expect it is that when everyone's not mentioning this so often, we can say "Now OS Goes Up To Level 115!" or something. I don't think that is a priority, though.

I do believe that OpenStudy has to improve for slower connection users, and recently OS has been having problems, but I think it's all fixed now. I also do agree there should be a Computer group and subgroups. I disagree that there should be an entertainment section, though because people will think that that is like to ask questions about movies and celebs.

Foundations of Web Design would be a great groups to add.

In this sub-group, or group, we cover the basic foundations. Questions such as: What is HTML, how do you add a header and body in HTML 5, and, other questions related to markup languages and graphics.

We already have computer science. Separating off things into another group will actually make it harder to find things, not easier. A sub topic is far better than a new topic because then any questions can be seen by people in both the sub topic and the main topic.

It would be great if some reorganizations of topics could be done, but I know that it not simple. For example, there is Social Science, but many of the actual social sciences have separate topics and are not sub topics of Social Science. This makes it harder to find the right groups, and nobody ends up posting in many of the topics. The people that do post do not get replies.
