OpenStudy (lovelyanna):

What are the x- and y-intercepts of the line? 2x – 3y = 12 A. x-intercept –6, y-intercept 4 B. x-intercept –4, y-intercept 6 C. x-intercept 4, y-intercept –6 D. x-intercept 6, y-intercept –4 Is it A or D?

OpenStudy (cloverracer):

D

OpenStudy (lovelyanna):

@jigglypuff314 Is D correct?

OpenStudy (lovelyanna):

Thank you @CloverRacer

jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):

D would be correct and know that x-intercept is when y=0 y-intercept is when x=0

OpenStudy (lovelyanna):

Alright, thanks :)

OpenStudy (cloverracer):

yes because you are combining like terms 3y and 2x add them together and you get 5yx which is 5y + 1x. and 5 + 1 = 6 which leaves the x-intercept as 6 (:

OpenStudy (cloverracer):

@LovelyAnna are you a CA student? (:

OpenStudy (lovelyanna):

What is a CA?

OpenStudy (cloverracer):

Connections Academy

OpenStudy (lovelyanna):

No, I don't go to that. I don't even know what that is :P

OpenStudy (cloverracer):

Ohh okay! Thanks for the medal!

jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):

it seems to be a homeschooling thing that a lot of kids on OpenStudy are doing >,<
