Write the equation y-2=4(x+5) in standard form? Please help

jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):

standard form of line : ax + by = c so you want to get all the values with variables to one side so first distribute the 4 then subtract y from both sides then subtract 20 from both sides and simplify/add like terms

y-4x-22=0 https://www.facebook.com/khaqadoos

@AbdulQadoos you answer is still not entirely correct :) standard form is ax + by = c therefore the "22" should be on the other side.
