12. Write the equation in logarithmic form. 4^7= 16384

OpenStudy (luigi0210):

If I'm not mistaken this is the equation: \[\LARGE (a^x=b)~=~(\log_{a} b=x)\]

sorry to sound dumb im not good at math but would that be the answer or do i plug in the numbers?

OpenStudy (luigi0210):

That's just a general formula. The variables will each stand for a number: So for 4^7=16384, it would be a=4, x=7, and b=16384. Now just plug in those numbers into the log_{a}b=x

oh okay thank you!

OpenStudy (luigi0210):

Just to be sure, what would your final answer be?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

log_{4}16384=7

OpenStudy (luigi0210):

Nice job :)

thank you!!!
