well you can put this in slope intercept then solve for the constant. Ax+By=C is standard form y=mx+b is slope intercept where m is slope and b is y intercept y-y=m(x-x) is point slope

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It's the third: x + 5y - 25 = 0 Use the equation \[y = mx + b\] This will give you y = -1/5x + 5. Manipulate this algebraically to get the result.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think he would benefit most if he could do the work

OpenStudy (pixiedust1):

What would I do next?

OpenStudy (pixiedust1):

I'm not sure what it means to manipulate this algebraically.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

inverse operations

OpenStudy (pixiedust1):

I'm not really sure how to do that. Isn't y already isolated?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how would you get everything on one side? y being isolated isn't general form though. you want it equal to 0 ax+by+c=0

OpenStudy (pixiedust1):

I'm sorry, I'm really not understanding. Thanks anyways

OpenStudy (pixiedust1):

Thank you hazipmir

\[y=-\frac{ 1 }{ 5 }x+5\] this is slope intercept form. to get to general form |dw:1387040452119:dw| then get the lead coefficient =to 1
