What is the difference between a prokaryote and eukaryote
Prokaryotic cells have single strands of DNA - Eukaryotic cells have multiple chromosomes.
Also Eukaryotic cells have a nucleus while prokaryotes have no nucleus.
Prokaryotic cells are more primitive and much smaller than eukayotic cells. They have a flagellum, apart from cell wall and cell membrane they also have a capsule. They have plasmids and since there is no nucleus the DNA is floating in the cytoplasm. I'm probably forgetting something but that's all I can remember right now...
prokaryotic cells do not have a nucleus and eukaryotic cells do. prokaryotic cells lack some organelles and eukaryotic cells do not. prokaryotic cells are not found in humans and eukaryotic cells are prokaryotic cells are always unicellular and eukaryotic cells are often multicellular. prokaryotic cells reproduce/divide by binary fission and eukaryotic cells reproduce/divide by mitosis/meiosis

prokaryotes are: single celled primitive divide by binary fission (usually) have a primitive nucleus, i.e. non membraneous.. have non-membranous organelles contain plasmid (some species) possess a protective capsular coating ribosomes are of 70S type contain polysomes contain mesosomes and repiratory chain for cellular respiration may contain pseudopodia like structures daughter cells are usually the replica of mother cell mother cell devides in to two i.e. doesn't die or we can say the mother cell b'comes d daughter cells their DNA lacks histone proteins Eukaryotes: are well developed cells possess:- mitochondria, chloroplast. Golgi apparatus, endoplasmic reticulum (rough and smooth), lysosomes, etc.. plant cells have a well defined cell wall and a middle lamellar layer whereas mammalian cells lack these cells have slow metabolism rate than bacterial r prokaryotes because of their complexity have a well defined nucleus with a nuclear membrane, nucleoplasm, and nucleolus DNA is well bound by histone and non-histone proteins into beads on string like structure known as chromatin fiber cells divide by mitosis and meiosis ribosomes are of 80S types respiration is carried out by chloroplast and mitochondria no mesoomal structures found
