Triangle MON is equilateral. Which is a contradiction to this statement? A. Triangle MON is equilateral. B. Triangle MNO is acute. C. m

jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):

and equilateral triangle's angles are ALL 60 degrees.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So it's D??

jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):

not quite... it IS true that it is 60 degrees. 120 degrees is Not 60 degrees

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok it can't be A so I'm thinking is it B

jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):

acute means less than 90 degrees 60 degrees IS less than 90 degrees therefore acute would also be True.

jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):

C and D contradict each other. If one of them is True than the other would be False D. m<M = 60 would be True therefore...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

m<M =120

jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):

correct :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah ! Thank you so much :)

jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):

you're welcome :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do you think you can help me with another problem??

jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):

sure :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok :) MN = PQ. Which is a contradiction to this statement? A. MN || PQ B. MN | PQ C. MN is congruent to PQ D. MN is not congruent to PQ

jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):

C and D contradict each other therefore is you prove one True then the other would be false.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think it's D because it's saying MN = PQ so they're congruent. Am I in the right track??

jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):

yep! and that's correct! :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes ! Thank you again :)

jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):

you're welcome :)
