=

hartnn (hartnn):

first use slope intercept form y= mx+c m= slope c = y-intercept what u get ?

OpenStudy (pixiedust1):

(-1/3)x+10/3

hartnn (hartnn):

y= that yes to get rid of that denominator, multiply 3 throughout

OpenStudy (pixiedust1):

So they its -1x+3y

hartnn (hartnn):

you have this, right ? y= (-1/3)x+10/3 mutiplying 3 throughout means multiplying 3 to each and every term

hartnn (hartnn):

3*y = 3*(-1/3)x +3*10/3

OpenStudy (pixiedust1):

Oh yeah! Oops! Sorry

hartnn (hartnn):

continue ?

OpenStudy (pixiedust1):

Yup

hartnn (hartnn):

i meant, you try to continue from 3*y = 3*(-1/3)x +3*10/3

OpenStudy (pixiedust1):

Oh okay lol So x+3y-10=0

hartnn (hartnn):

that should be absolutely correct.

OpenStudy (pixiedust1):

Thank you! Yeah, I got that one wrong, so that helped me figure out where I went wrong :D Thank you

hartnn (hartnn):

ohhh, and welcome ^_^

OpenStudy (pixiedust1):

But you make everything so clear and simple. Thank you hartnn!

hartnn (hartnn):

ok, but nevertheless appreciate their efforts to help you....maybe they got it wrong, but you can always go back and post the correct thing so that both of you will now know the correct way to solve it :)

OpenStudy (pixiedust1):

Oh yeah, totally! A learning lesson for both of us! :D

OpenStudy (pixiedust1):

And that way, other google users will know what the correct answer should have been

hartnn (hartnn):

good thinking! :)

OpenStudy (pixiedust1):

Have an awesome day!

hartnn (hartnn):

i'll have an awesome night, you have an awesome time :)
