What are Alkali Metals?

Well, alkali metals are the elements found in Group 1 of the periodic table. The alkali metals are Lithium (Li), Sodium (Na), Potassium (K), Rubidium (RB), Cesium (Cs), and Francium (Fr).

Oh & 1 more thing when I said in group 1 I meant all of the EXCEPT Hydrogen (H). It is not considered an alkali metal.

Ok I got you now. Then the Alkali Earth Metals are in group right? One more thing which comes first the halogens or noble gases?

That would be group 7 halogens then group 8 nobles gases. Group VII are the halogens, group VIII are noble gases.
