capacitors in series combine as 1/Cs = 1/C3 + 1/C4

upper branch 1/Cup = 1/2 + 1/4 =3/4 so Cup = 4/3

lower branch 1/Clo = 1/4 (?) + 1/8 = 3/8 Clo = 8/3

Combine branches by addition: C = 8/3 + 4/3 = 12/3 = 4 uF,

if I read that lower capacitor value correctly from your figure.

C = Q/V = charge / voltage

Q = V C = (10)(4 x 10^-6)=40x10-6 coulomb = 40 microcoul

Sorry. I do not understand your question. Perhaps you mean what if you connected the upper corner to the lower with a wire. You have two loops and need to solve them with Kirchcoff's Law, going around the loops and then making it all agree. I don't know if I could do it and am leaving soon.
