Algebra help please!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What's the question?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hold on @zeinas.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

K

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1 : B & D 2 : A 3 : C

OpenStudy (anonymous):

For number 1, we know that we need two numbers that multiply to -10, and add to -9. And they are -10 and +1, so (x+10)(x-1) So it will be A, D

OpenStudy (kattan):

1 : B & C 2 : C

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what bout 2 & 3?

OpenStudy (raden):

-9 = -10 + 1 -10 = -10 * 1 @zeinas.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wat would answer b?

OpenStudy (kattan):

1 : B & C 2 : C 3 : B&C

OpenStudy (anonymous):

For 2, I'm not sure., the numbers are +14, and +3, which means the polynomial should be: 14 *3=42, and 14+3=17 x^2+17x+42 @RadEn what do you think?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

And three is B and C.

OpenStudy (raden):

-14 * -3 = 42 -14 + (-3) = -17

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so 1 : B & C 2 C 3 is B?

OpenStudy (kattan):

3: B&C

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@RadEn....The factors are (x-14)(x-3) If the factors were -14 and -3, it would be (x+14)(x+3)....It's a weird question

OpenStudy (raden):

1 and 2 are correct, 3 still incomplete

OpenStudy (anonymous):

3 cant be B & C it has to be one

OpenStudy (raden):

kattan is right, 3 B and C x^2 + 6x + 8 = (x+2)(x+4)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

B & D & A?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@kattan help ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1. will be d) (x+3)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what bot rest? @zeinas.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2. c.(4x-1) It took me awhile because I was working it out, and 3. a. (2x-1)
