This can be hard question to answer without any context. We have no idea what you have been studying and there are all genres and sub-genres that can involve dangerous situations and lives at risk. Just think about Action, Mystery, Science Fiction, Crime, Fantasy, and even Romance can all involve what you describe. The only way those characteristics can be exclusively tied to a specific genre is through some other context that you have not revealed here. So are there specific genres that you have been studying? Are there some choices for answer? You need to somehow narrow down the choices of genres or give us some clue as to the context of the question.
