OpenStudy (akashdeepdeb):

Take the LOWEST COMMON MULTIPLE of the denominator.

OpenStudy (akashdeepdeb):

Do you know what LCM is? :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

not really

OpenStudy (akashdeepdeb):

Okay, so LCM or the lowest common multiple gives you, well, the lowest common multiples of two numbers. They are REALLY HELPFUL IN FRACTIONS. So let us say you have 4 and 14. Now the LCM is one common multiple found in both which is the LEAST. 4 multiplication table = 4 8 12 16 20 24 28 32 14 multiplication table = 14 28 42 Hold on there, if you see, we found a match!! 28 is a COMMON MULTIPLE and is the least as it comes the earliest in the table. So we say that 28 is the lowest common multiple or LCM of 4 and 14. Understood? :)

OpenStudy (akashdeepdeb):

Are you allowed to use a calculator for this kind of question?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ya

OpenStudy (akashdeepdeb):

WHAT?? Then why don't you just use that? What I am telling you is the concept. If it doesn't interest you in anyway, use the calculator! :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):
