Which Ideal society materials and resources are good?

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

What do you mean by materials? Those of the society or those on the topic?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I mean to ask what learning and reading materials and other resources are their to learn from in order to make meaningful contributions toward the creation of a more ideal society and world. I made a new wiki document for people to share their resources to here: Here is the link to the “Utopian and Ideal world development resources” page: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1-W7jNRT0SO0Jz56TAtVtXWddS_4PGR7hxgy7RBkwinQ/edit?usp=sharing Share your contributions on the wiki too. Thanks, Envisioneer

Thanks, I like Michio Kaku, I read his "physics of the future". I like how he categorizes the types of civilizations in a universal perspective way. "Big think" is a website I am not familiar with but it seems good so far so thanks for the suggestion. Why did you recommend this video? What else can you suggest?

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

Kaku san brings out some great points on the issues involved as well at the potentials. Makes for a good overview of where things are at. There is someone else that has worked out some more idyllic designs, and I wanted to share them, but I don't know where the link is at the moment.

Ah, found it again: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5zn8MRKOskw This goes over the ideas and goals that started with Jacque Fresco.
