i need help with this question.. jose's vase can hold up to 2,419 milliliters of water. he poured 1 liter 299 milliliters of water into the empty vase. The he added 398 milliliters.. how much more water will the vase hold..

OpenStudy (ddcamp):

Remember, 1 liter is 1000 milliliters, so 1 liter 299 milliliters is 1,299 milliliters. How many milliliters have been put in total?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so you take 1299 and add 398

OpenStudy (ddcamp):

Yes, that will be the total added.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then you subtract that from the 2419 to get answer

OpenStudy (ddcamp):

Yup!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I came up with 722

OpenStudy (ddcamp):

Same here.
