What is some good modern literature on utopias and ideal worlds and communities?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Brave New World by Aldous Huxley, "1984" by George Orwell, Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury, The Giver by Lois Lowry, and The Iron Heel by Jack London

1984 is supposed to be a dystopia = (the opposite of an ideal world or utopia). How are the worlds represented in these writings more ideal than the present world? Thanks for answering.
