how to solve compound inequality

OpenStudy (anonymous):

any particular one?

OpenStudy (shamil98):

do you have a specific problem in mind?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

5x+10>(or equal to) 10 and 7x-7 <(orequalto) 14

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i don't understand how to do it exactly.

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

5x + 10 >= 10 -- subtract 10 from both sides 5x >= 10 - 10 5x >= 0 -- divide by 5 x >= 0/5 x >= 0 7x - 7 <= 14 -- add 7 to both sides 7x <= 14 + 7 7x <= 21 -- divide by 7 x <= 3 so we have x greater or equal to 0 and x less then or equal to 3 which can be written like : 0 <= x <= 3

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

any questions ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):
