What is the value of the expression 1/5^-5??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hi again Lila :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

on a negative exponent x^-n=1/x^n

Hi Kuggy! ☺

OpenStudy (anonymous):

As lonnie just said, for this one, you want to kind of do the opposite from what we did before. In this one, the negative exponent is in the denominator

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So you can think of it as the flip of what you have there but with a positive exponent, so it just becomes 5^5 :) which is 5*5*5*5*5 which is 3125

Oh ok I get it. Thanks!!!

Next time, you can also use a quicker rule |dw:1387164085215:dw|
