OpenStudy (theislander):

If the radius of the circle is decreased without changing the coordinates of the center point, how are the coefficients C, D, and E affected?

OpenStudy (theislander):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hint: E is the radius. What happens to the radius? Also, C & D affect the center point. Does the center point change?

OpenStudy (theislander):

so everything would go unchanged?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

'If the radius of the circle is decreased without changing the coordinates of the center point' does the radius remain unchanged?

OpenStudy (theislander):

no

OpenStudy (primeralph):

E is the r^2 term. If r only is decreased, what happens to E?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

re-write as (x-a)^2 + (y-b)^2 = r^2 then square these can compare against the coefficients given. this is a circle of radius r centered at (a,b)

OpenStudy (theislander):

i am absolutely clueless
