a. Solve a - 9= 20 (My answer: 29) b. Solve b - 9 > 20 ( ? 29 also?) c. How is solving the equation in part a similar to solving the inequality in part b? d. How are the solutions different?

Yes both are correct, because you want to leave a and b on the left side alone so later on you can divide to just have a or b. In your case a/b don't have to be divided. So its just a = 29 and b > 29

They are different because a = 29 b > 29 (greater than)
