Please Help! Identify the slope and y-intercept of the inequality 8x + 2y > 12.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm thinking the answer is either y > 4x - 6, or y > 8 (over) 4 x - 6. Is either of these right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

To find the slope and y-intercept, we need to put it in point slope form: 8x+2y>12 subtract 8x 2y>-8x+12 divide by 2 y>-4x+6 The slope is -4, and y-intercept 6

Thank you!!! :)

Do you mean it needs to be in slope-intercept form? @zeinas.

You're welcome, and Yes, slope intercept form. Thanks
