Any ideas about a character who struggles to stay true to himself or herself. Help? I need to write a short story about a person who struggles to stay true to himself or herself.

Sounds like a ethical and moral decision problem so you can try to go with that and put your character in some type of ethical dilemma and the choices they have and the choices they make based on the outcome resulting in themselves and going against their morals.
