OK PROCEED TO ASK THY QUESTION?????

OpenStudy (xmoses1):

Determine if the solution set for the system of equations shown is the empty set, contains one point or is infinite. x + 2y = 0 2x + 4y = 0 one solution no solution coincident

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok one sec.....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

They are parallel equations. So they will not have only one solution. They will have either no solution, or infinite solutions.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Two lines are coincident if they lie on top of one another. This ocurres when you have two equations that are multiples of eachother.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hence, the answer must be .....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

INFINITE

OpenStudy (xmoses1):

ok you are really smart

OpenStudy (anonymous):

haha not compared to some of my friends

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (xmoses1):
