Karen bought a dishwasher from a rental center for $650. She makes 16 monthly payments of $63.75 with her credit card. The rental center charges $1.50 for every payment made with a credit card. What is the total cost of the dishwasher? do u think u can help me with this one
how far did you get here?
no where. can u do it with me.
well it says "She makes 16 monthly payments of $63.75 " so how much has she paid so far?
1,020
no wait
yea. 1020
then it says "The rental center charges $1.50 for every payment made with a credit card" so that means that you make 16*1.50 = 24 dollars in extra fees (sounds unfair, but oh well). Add this to 1020 to get 1020+24 = 1044 So the total cost is $1044
oh wait, that $1.50 could just be a one time fee..hmm not sure
thank u . im going with 1044 and see if its right? can u help me with one more please
Felix purchased a boat for $9,755. He made a down payment of $875. He applied for a six-year installment loan with an interest rate of 10.4% in the amount of $8,880. What is the total cost of the boat after six years?
Which of the following is a characteristic of a deferred payment plan? There is an introductory period where no interest is accrued. The item purchased is used as collateral until the balance is paid in full. A down payment is always required. A certain number of payments must be made before the product is owned.
What did you get?
idk
hint: deferred means to put off or delay
Jim wrote above: " "The rental center charges $1.50 for every payment made with a credit card" oh wait, that $1.50 could just be a one time fee..hmm not sure " How can the above statement possibly be interpreted as a one-time payment of $1.50?
