I GIVE MEDALS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just need to know how to do this. Don't give the answer. Please help!!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\frac{ r }{ 7 }=-8\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Negative eight

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So it's r over 7 equals negative eight.

OpenStudy (marigirl):

a number 'r' divided by 7 is equal to -8. what would u think that number might be

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So I divide 'r' by seven?

OpenStudy (marigirl):

r stands for a number. a number divided by 7 equals -8. what might be that number?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh okay! Let me see.

OpenStudy (marigirl):

think of a number when u divide by 7 equals 8. ( let not worry about the negative for now)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Negative seventeen?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A easier way to do this, is to solve for r. r/7=-8 you can multiply -8 by 7, and the answer you get is r.

OpenStudy (marigirl):

i dont think -17 will work. ..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OOOOHHHHHHHHH Thanks!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sorry @marigirl @zeinas kinda explained it better!

OpenStudy (marigirl):

thats all good.
