Y=(x+2)^2(x-5)^4 Find the zeros. State the multiplicity

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the multiplicity is the exponent of the factor

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Then how would I find the zeros

OpenStudy (anonymous):

set each factor equal to zero and solve for example \(x+2=0\iff x=-2\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so you would say "\(-2\) is a zero with multiplicity 2"

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you that helps a lot
