Need help

OpenStudy (anonymous):

For first picture:name the compound

OpenStudy (rane):

2, 4, 5, 6, 7 methyloctane

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and the 2nd picture?

OpenStudy (rane):

all or just the first one?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

all

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for the first should it be 6-ethyl 2,4,5,7 methyloctane?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

cause of c2h5?

OpenStudy (joannablackwelder):

Yes, I get the first one to be 3-ethyl-2,4,6,7-methyloctane.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how about the second picture?

OpenStudy (joannablackwelder):

What do you think?

OpenStudy (abb0t):

There are multiple ways to write the second one. Just a little comment.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1,1,2,2 tribromopropane for a), 1,2 dihydroxybutane or 1,2 butanediol for b)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

24 c im not sure of

OpenStudy (abb0t):

Oh, I didn't even see the other structures. The image was so large!

OpenStudy (joannablackwelder):

I think you mean 1,1,2-tribromopropane and I would agree for a. :)

OpenStudy (joannablackwelder):

And yes, 1,2-butanediol for b

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no clue of C I know it's fluoro pentane

OpenStudy (anonymous):

5 fluoro-2,3-dimethylpentane for c?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

or 1-fluoro-3,4-dimethylpentane?

OpenStudy (joannablackwelder):

I think c is 1-fluoro-4-methylpentan-3-one

OpenStudy (anonymous):

or would it be 1-fluoro-3hexanone?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and for the first one is would it be 3-ethyl-2,4,6,7 tetramethyloctane or just methyloctane?
