here are some rules.. there are no exponents for ln.. so if you have ln x^2 it can be rewritten as 2lnx another is.. ln(xy) can be rewritten as lnx +lny another is lnx=5, solve for x. Just raise both sides by e. you cancel out ln and x =e^5
