OpenStudy (math&ing001):

First you need to find the equation of each graph. Lets start with the dotted one. Can you find its slope ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No. :/

OpenStudy (stormoshawty):

Use Mathway.com graphs.

OpenStudy (math&ing001):

You choose 2 random points from the line say A(x1,y1) and B(x2,y2) The slop is \[m=\frac{ y2-y1 }{ x2-x1 }\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Can you walk me through doing it? I'm not very smart. :/

OpenStudy (math&ing001):

Sure ! I see that the graph passes trough the point (3,0) for example. Can you find a another point ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(2, 1)?

OpenStudy (math&ing001):

Yeah ! Now lets apply the formula to find the slope.

OpenStudy (math&ing001):

(x1,y1)=(3,0) and (x2,y2)=(2,1) ie. x1=3 y1=0 x2=2 y2=1
