please help! Solve |2x - 5| = 4. {x | x = -4.5 or x = 4.5} {x | x = 0.5 or x = 4.5} {x | 0.5 < x < 4.5}

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if the things are between the line they are positive I do believe so make em positive then subtract 5 on each side and solve for x

OpenStudy (ttop0816):

@shadowrainfaint then its the third answer?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

{x | x = 0.5 or x = 4.5}

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Third answer shouldn't be an option because it is saying it is less than x or greater than x those aren't even in the problem but i could be wrong

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Salmon try explaining it to people so they can understand how to do it later on don't just give answers.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I apologies....Actually I was trying to answer as many questions as possible in minimum time as a practice for my entrance exam...I am sorry...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It's fine sorry about it I just if people can learn it that is better for them so they don't have to continue asking for answers.
