Some expected George Washington to crown himself king after leading American forces to defeat the British. Why didn't he?

b.) Washington believed he would have more power as President.

it is A or D. A because the reason they separated was because the King of England had too much power, D because that's basically the reason they left, so if he was king, that would be hypocritical of him, but i believe it is A as D is just sort of implied in the question
