8. The ordered pairs (1, 4), (2, 16), (3, 64), (4, 256), and (5, 1,024) represent a function. What is a rule that represents this function? (1 point) y = 4^x y = 4x y = x^4 y = x + 4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it would really have to be 4^x ....bc if you think about the ordered pairs as being x,y x,y x,y ...and plug in the numbers ... the only one that really works is that one ....all of them have to work

what about this?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

to determine if something is a function ....it cannot have any repeating ys .....so it would need to be B

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and this one is the same
