The science club sold 25 T-shirts last week and 18 T-shirts this week. What is the percentage of decrease in the number of T-shirts sold?

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

Percent change is calculated using this formula: \(percent~change =\dfrac{new~number - old~number}{old~number} \times 100\% \) If the result is positive, it's a percent increase. If the result is negative, it's a percent decrease. In your case, the new number is 18, and the old number is 25. Plug the numbers into the formula above and find the percent decrease.

Why is it important to know how much time you spend on tasks?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

umm this is one of those questions where theres not really a wrong answer. I would reply to is something like it is important to know because if you spend to much time on one thing it takes away time from another kind of like homework. If you spend to much time on one subject you won't have anytime left on the next one becuase you need to go to bed. Sorry my answer was kind of lame lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh okay no its perfectly fine i understand, But thank you anyway :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

your welcome! good luck on all of your other assignments

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thx
