They are made up of repeating monomers.
OpenStudy (aaronq):
they're both linear polymers of glucose units with \(1\rightarrow4\) glycosidic bonds. They differ in the orientation of the glycosidic bond bond, cellulose is \(\beta\) and amylose is \(\alpha\).
