Which of the following is a soltution for 4m - 5 > -9 or 4m - 5 < 3? (A)m > -9 or m < 3 (B)m > -1 or m < 1/2 (C)All Real Numbers (D)No Solution

OpenStudy (anonymous):

4m - 5 > -9 4m > -9 + 5 4m > -4 m > -1 4m - 5 < 3 4m < 3 + 5 4m < 8 m < 2 so we have : -1 < m < 2 hmmm...that answer is not one of your answer choices. I don't believe it is all real numbers because the only solution it can be is 0 and 1. And m is not greater then -9. And m can be 1, so it is not always less then 1/2.
